What is the process for a new first appointment?
First, we book a new first appointment with Ms. Sofia Vagena, Speech Therapist and Head of the Center. During the appointment the child is assessed, and the most suitable therapy program is then proposed according to the child’s needs.
How long does each session last?
Each session lasts 45 minutes.
During the initial assessment, is the child alone with the therapist, or can the parents also be present in the session?
Parents are welcome to be present at the assessment, as the therapist takes the child’s history at the same time.
Do I need to rebook my child’s schedule every time, or does it stay fixed?
The schedule is fixed and takes place on the same day and at the same time every week, so you do not need to book a new appointment each time.
Will I be updated regularly on my child’s progress and development during the sessions?
At the end of each session, the parent is updated by the therapist on how the session went.
Is it possible to have home sessions?
Our center offers home sessions, following a discussion with the Head of the Center and the relevant scheduling.
Do you take on cases of all ages, or is there a specific age range?
Our center takes on cases from a very young age up to older adults, depending on each person’s needs.
Can I easily find a day and time that suits me for the fixed schedule?
We make every effort to accommodate each person, always depending on the therapists’ availability at the time.
Is there cooperation between the different therapists?
Every month the team holds an interdisciplinary meeting where the progress and development of each case are discussed in detail, with the aim of providing the best possible support.
What happens if we need to cancel an appointment?
It is made up on another available day and time.
